The College’s third annual Master’s Hooding Ceremony allows our graduate students receiving master’s degrees to be hooded by their program directors in addition to participation in our traditional Commencement Ceremony. Students earning post-bachelor and post-master’s certificates are also recognized at this event.

A reception will immediately follow in Canova Commons, allowing for graduates and their guests to mingle with the faculty members who have had an impact on their education at Cedar Crest.

Registration is required for this event. CLICK HERE to respond no later than Wednesday, May 1.

Note:

  • This event is for graduate students only – those completing a master’s degree or post-bachelor or post-master’s certificates.
  • Students and faculty are expected to wear academic regalia.
  • Graduate students completing master’s degrees (NOT certificates) are invited to participate in both the Hooding Ceremony and the Commencement Ceremony.
  • Commencement, held on Saturday, May 11, includes both undergraduate and graduate students and is where the official symbolic conferring of degrees takes place.
  • All graduate students are welcome to wear their hood to Commencement, whether or not they attended the Hooding Ceremony.
